“Bully” at Work Might Have a High Conflict Personality

If you have had it with trying to reason or understand the unpredictable behavior of the person that’s driving you crazy at work, perhaps it is because you are assuming this person can be either reasonable or predictable.

If this “bully” seems to fly off the handle for no apparent reason, is mystifyingly combative, and is irrational and harsh…there is the possibility that this person might be a High Conflict Personality. It is more common than you think.

What is a a High Conflict Personality? This is a condition that drives people to argue, fight and be aggressive by nature. They might have a disorder such as narcissism, depression, or bi-polar disorder. Not all people with these conditions are high conflict. But some are.
